Here are some pictures of me and my twin Chris....He is not actually a twin, just a cousin, my childhood buddy, that looks a lot like me. These pictures were taken at Ponkey and Grandma's pool in Fort Worth, Texas. I have so many fond memories of swimming at their pool. We would go pretty much everyday and be outside playing all day long. Oh the good Ol' days... No sunscreen, popsicles poolside from grandmas's freezer, running on hot asphalt with no shoes, no clothes, swim lessons from Uncle Tom, being with cousins, fireworks, and of course not a care in the world. Can I go back? I want to be in a pool right now without a care in the world.....

We ArE FaMiLy.... i got all my cousins with me
Monday morning Niki and Easton flew in from Colorado. It was great to see Neener and I think the last time we saw eachother was at her wedding (just after my mission). Little Easton is adorable and we all met up at Iggy's for a bite to eat. Easton and Olivia got to bond a little and it was fun to watch them interact and play. We had a good portion of the Colorado crew (minus the Santillis) show up. Good times in the SLC!

Sunday I attended a family shower for Deb and Chris. Art and Fran came down from Idaho to meet up with the Salt Lake crew. Deb's parents put on a nice shower at their Clubhouse and invited the whole gang. Deb looks great, and Unfortunately I don't have a picture of her. Ponkey had the cousins from Utah pose with tall boy Chris. After a nice dinner, we played games, and got caught up on all the "happenings" Chris and Deb announced the name as Holden Redd Ericson. Ponkey and Grandma are proud!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRITT
I need to tell you all a quick story about Brittany....
back in the high school days britt was driving me somewhere, where, im not sure, but it doesn't matter. all i can remember is that we were late. britt was in the car honking for me to come out (usually a daily occurence)and i was ticked that she was being so impatient. out in the car, britt proceeded to yell at me and i just couldn't take it anymore, so i yelled "I-I Captain" just to make her mad. i then stuck my head out the window to muffle any sound still coming from her mouth. britt proceeded to yell out, "you're right ash", "i am the captain and this is my ship" as she rolled my head up in the window.... i sat there with my head hanging out the window, face freezing, screaming everything and anything about my sister to the world.
i tell you this story to express my love for britt....what? yes, britt has ALWAYS and will continue to be the captain of her ship. i love brittany for so many reasons. she is one of the most amazing women i know. from graduating law school, to running marathons, to being an incredible mother of 3 and all else she has accomplished in between, this woman does not skip a beat. britt, is the kind of person that is always interested in what you are doing. she finds time in her busy life to drop what she is doing to talk. she is my sounding board, a listening ear, and one of the most real people i know. britt, is always everyone's best cheerleader and never forgets to call or send a gift for anyone's special day. she is incredibly strong and has weathered many storms with a smile on her face. i know my life has been deeply effected by her strength. she is beautiful on the inside and out and will forever be "tall girl" in our family. britt has an incredible spirit and shares her testimony with me in so many ways. i appreciate her eternal outlook on life and i am happy to have her as an eternal sister and friend. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRITTANY! xoxo

Birthday Shout Outs....
This month we celebrated a few birthday's at our little home here in Salt Lake. We celebrated Molly's birhtday on Feb. 7 at Rio Grande with a fun little group of girls. We had such a wonderul time laughing, telling horror stories of random dates, bowling, and of course the yummy cupcakes compliments of Nancy. What a fun celebration. Also this month, we celebrated Ashlee Cook and Jocelyn Deed's birthday's. We attended a little suprise party at Epic for Joc. I think the best part of that night was watching her reaction and facial expressions when she came in. What a fun little suprise to see her so excited. We celebrated Ash's Birthday at the DODO. Unable to come, I went down Sunday to help her celebrate with an organic ice-cream cake (compliments of roommate Alexis)....who knew organic ice cream could taste so good? Pretty tasty I must say.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY LADIES!!! XOXO

MAMACITA

"Suzie Q 42" came for a little visit last week and it was so fun to see her. I love having my mom around. She is so uplifting and has this amazing zest for life. It is rejuvinating to be in her presence. We were able to make it up to Park City for a day of skiing. She was amazing! It's been quite a while since her last ski trip and she went straight to the blues. I think there were even a few moguls. I was so proud of her... I miss you already!

EXTREME MAKEOVER
I have had this idea in my head to re-do my room for sometime now. I just finished the final touches on it this past weekend. I got a new bedspread, pillows, added a night stand, fun little mirror, and new dresser. Light pink and Red pillows are in near future too. It's fun to have a new change and the best part of all are the hot pink sheets!

MARTHA STEWART???

Not even close...... I have been battling my inner domestic godess for quite sometime now. I am not much of a crafts person, but I do love to create and think of new decorative ideas. A few of these ideas have been cycling around in my head, and I finally decided to put in the time to make them happen. The first idea was a little tutu for Ella. This little girl just melts my heart, and I thought she needed a little tutu...so here is my first attempt at a tutu.

Christmas Extravaganza.....
It's been a while since I updated the blog. I could go as far back as Thanksgiving, but I will spare you the details and jump forward to Christmas. My cute friend Nancy put together a friends christmas party. We each brought along a date and ended up at her bosses home in Alpine. It was a beautiful home and we had so much fun playing games such as win loss or draw, white elephant gift exchange and many others. Always a fun time getting to know other people and of course THE FOOD. How can we forget the food, it was yummy! I know everyone likes pictures, so I will let them tell the story.
